Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering at FEUP, where he made the final year dissertation on the topic of "Wind Power Models based on data mining". From this work emerged a new tool for forecasting wind power, which in addition to providing the traditional point estimate shapes the ability to provide the system operator with information about events of ramp, and different scenarios with probability of occurrence.
Currently he is an director at Smartwatt Intelligence, developing research in the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, forecasting and optimization techniques applied to energy Smart Grids and electrical power systems.
He has a large experience to modeling process and forecasting tools. He is involved in countless projects which resulted in a set of forecasting tools.
